Fairfax Media Limited () is one of the largest media companies in Australia and New Zealand, with investment in newspaper, magazines, radio and internet.
Fairfax has a portfolio of leading digital products, including the online News sites smh.com.au in Australia and stuff.co.nz in New Zealand. The group also has leading classified and transaction websites.
The Fairfax divisions cover:
* Australia Media: includes The Sydney Morning Herald (smh.com.au), The Australian Financial Review (afr.com), The Age and The Canberra Times.
* Life Media and Events: a major events business and owner of Australian lifestyle brands including (Goodfood ), (Executive Style ), (Essential Kids ), (Essential Baby ), (Drive ) and (Traveller ).
* Domain Group: a digital real estate business containing APM Pricefinder, a property data business, Domain.com.au, and MyDesktop, a SaaS platform for the real estate sector.
* Digital Ventures: encompasses digital publisher Allure Media, and partnerships with Huffington Post for HuffPost Australia and Nine Entertainment Co. for Stan, the video streaming service.
* New Zealand Media: including Stuff.co.nz and metro newspapers The Dominion Post in the North Island and The Press in the South Island.
Fairfax has a 54.5% interest in Macquarie Radio Network (), following the merger of Fairfax’s radio business with Macquarie’s in 2015, with the leading News, Talk and Sport stations in Sydney and Melbourne.
In 2014, Fairfax entered into a joint venture partnership with Nine Entertainment Co, called StreamCo, the creators behind Australia’s newest subscription video on demand service, Stan.
In 2015, Fairfax Media and The Huffington Post Media Group launched HuffPost Australia, a new edition of The Huffington Post. HuffPost Australia is The Huffington Post’s 15th site in the brand’s expanding global presence.
The group's chairman is Nick Falloon〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Nick Falloon confirmed as Chairman upon the retirement of Roger Corbett )〕 and the chief executive officer is Greg Hywood.

John Fairfax purchased ''The Sydney Morning Herald'' in 1841.〔 Several generations of the Fairfax family continued to control the company.
Fairfax Media was founded by the Fairfax family as John Fairfax and Sons, later to become John Fairfax Holdings. The Fairfax family lost control of the company in December 1990. It was renamed from John Fairfax Holdings to Fairfax Media in 2007.
